Prepaid, per second, no surprises.
The organization holds one balance. A session bills its hourly price by the second while it runs, in whole cents as they accrue. When the balance runs out, sessions are stopped with their work saved — never a debt.
A session keeps the prices its sandbox type had when it started. A plan change or a new rate reaches the next session, never one already running.
A paused session keeps its disk so it resumes in a second, and the disk is the one thing that keeps billing — a fraction of a cent per hour for most sizes. CPU and memory stop the moment you pause. Finishing a session ends every charge; the work is in your workspace.
Every gigabyte a session sends is billed at the region's egress rate. No allowance to keep track of, no cap: a session is never cut off, its info shows the total and the cost.
Shared vCPUs burst to full speed and share cores when everyone is busy — right for editing, agents and test runs. Dedicated vCPUs are a whole core each, for builds and long compute. The class is a field on the sandbox type; the owner picks it once.
Connected servers never bill — pair as many as you like. AI is never on the invoice either: every member brings their own credentials, and Isolation meters nothing on top.
Questions people ask first.
Do I pay for a Cloud server while nothing runs on it?
No. A Cloud server is a configuration — a region and the sandbox types it offers. Nothing exists and nothing bills until a session launches, and the charge stops the second it finishes.
Why are prices per region?
Because the machines cost more in some places. Each region is priced at the dearest of the locations a session may land in, so a type's price is one fixed number wherever it is placed inside its region.
What does a paused session cost?
Only its disk: cpu and memory stop billing the moment you pause, the disk keeps billing at the disk rate because the session keeps it. A 2 vCPU · 4 GB · 20 GB session pauses for well under a cent an hour; the rate card and the calculator show the exact number. On the Personal plan up to three sessions may be paused at once, for up to 14 days.
Is egress included?
No. Every gigabyte a session sends is billed at the region's egress rate, from the first byte. Traffic into a session is free.
What is the difference between shared and dedicated vCPUs?
A shared vCPU bursts to full speed and, sustained, gets a slice of a core shared with other sessions — inexpensive and right for most work. A dedicated vCPU is a whole core reserved for the session, for builds and long compute, at a higher rate per vCPU. Memory, disk and egress cost the same in both.
Can I bring my own machine?
Yes, and it is free: an office box, a spare Mac, a VPS you already pay for. Three commands pair it, and every member launches on it like on a Cloud server. Most organizations run both.
Does the plan include compute?
No. A plan buys seats, features and a discount on every Cloud resource. Compute is always the rate card times what your sessions use, minus your plan's percentage, from the prepaid balance.
